Notes For Instructing Solicitors

• Solicitors instructions should be complete, and should contain an outline of the complaint.

• I have a subspeciality interest in personal injury and hip and knee arthroplasty, revision hip surgery and trauma.

• It is the referring solicitors responsibility to ensure that the client attends at the instructed time and date. Defaulting from appointments will always result in a bill, unless five working days notice is received.

• If medical records are to be examined as part of the medical report, they must arrive in advance of the notified client appointment. Later arrival prevents incorporation of details into the report and will result in analysis in later letters.

• Medical reports are usually available within six weeks of the appointment date, but this time may be increased if an undue amount of correspondence is received that requires urgent processing.
